Redwater Ammonia Plant Debottleneck Project
Bantrel was retained@by Agrium to help debottleneck their existing Plant 1 Ammonia Plant.@ The objective of this study was to determine the maximum ammonia production rate with increased operating efficiencies and minimum investment. Bantrel@s involvement was to:Identify bottlenecksPrepare process flow diagrams, including heat and material balancesPrepare equipment data sheets for all new and upgraded equipmentReview all piping capabilitiesPrepare equipment layouts and a cost estimateA complete

Compass Minerals Shaft Relining
From August 2014 to June 2019 Bantrel performed Construction Management services on the shaft relining project. This project involved the relining of two existing 16-foot diameter, (1900 feet) 590-metre-deep concrete lined shafts. The new shaft linings were comprised of two zones. A steel reinforced liner was installed in the upper water bearing zone. The lower portion consists of a foam backed concrete liner. The project scope also included installing of a new permanent headframe for the #1 Shaf

Steepbank Mines Project
Bantrel and its joint venture partners executed the EPCM role for this $165 MM project for Suncor. The project scope involved the design of both the mine ore handling system (dry side) and the slurry preparation/pipeline facility (wet side).Through innovative ideas that the team proposed in equipment design, slurry storage and slurry preparation, a savings of approximately $40MM was@realized. Suncor has complemented Bantrel and its partners for challenging the norms and paradigms in an effort to
Strathcona EPC Program
For over 28 years Bantrel has completed more than 700 projects to improve safety, profitability and reliability at the facility. In 2015, Bantrel was awarded Pre-FEED, FEED and EPC services for the projects group at the facility, engaging Bantrel Constructors Co. (BCC) to provide Construction Management and DFL resources. Bantrel has executed projects in all major areas of the refinery, from small maintenance repairs to significant revamps of processing units, including:FCCUHF alkylationHydro-

Suncor Project Millennium
In 1992 Suncor Energy Inc. unveiled a strategic plan to improve its long-term profitability and to make its operating costs competitive with those of Canada@s top producers of conventional crude oil. By year end 1998 a series of initiatives including fixed plant expansion and the new Steepbank Mine increased production capacity to 94,000 barrels per calendar day (b/cd). The Production Enhancement Project, (PEP) plant capacity objectives were to increase to 130,000 b/cd by 2001. Project Millenniu
Sylvan Lake Gas Plant Project
Phillips Petroleum awarded Bantrel an engineering services contract for process, project, civil/structural, instrumentation, and electrical support to their Sylvan Lake Gas Plant.Bantrel personnel worked in the Phillips offices as lead technical personnel in the development of the design and construction packages.@The work lasted approximately eight months and was considered highly successful in all aspects.

Takreer Refinery Configuration and Expansion
Study and DBM for a refinery expansion configuration. Bantrel was responsible for the evaluation of debottlenecking existing vs new facility, and then doing a consolidated DBM/EDS for a new gas processing facility. This was within the Takreer POC Expansion Project, a very large project based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
