Bantrel has been a proud sponsor of the Spruce Meadows equestrian events for the last fifteen years.

This year, Spruce Meadows celebrates its 35th anniversary. Every National, World, and individual Olympic show jumping champion for the last 35 years has competed at Spruce Meadows; Canadian riders claimed the team silver medal and a Canadian rider earned the individual gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Spruce Meadows events now reach a television audience of over 820 million around the world. Bantrel has been an integral part of the development and growth of this world-class sport facility.

At the National event on June 10, Canadian Olympic gold medalist Eric Lamaze won the Bantrel Cup riding eight-year-old mare Coriana Van Klapscheut. Bantrel President John McVey had the pleasure of presenting the trophy to the respected athlete.

"Our involvement with Spruce Meadows is reflective of our strong community connection in Calgary," says John, adding, "Our sponsorship also provides excellent business networking and marketing opportunities for the company."

The North American Show Jumping Tournament at Spruce Meadows runs July 7 to 11.
