A Bantrel First: Major Six Sigma Milestone Earned
September 18, 2007
Chris Sandink is Bantrel’s first Master Black Belt.
Chris Sandink is Bantrel’s first Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Master Black Belts are Six Sigma experts that are responsible for the strategic implementation of Six Sigma within an organization.
With Chris’ achievement, Bantrel is now fully self-sufficient with the Six Sigma program.
Bantrel launched the Six Sigma program only two short years ago, with the support of Bechtel’s Oil, Gas and Chemicals Global Business Unit.
“We understand the pace of the Bantrel deployment is among the best, and possibly the best, within the Bechtel world,” says Dennis Kopp, Bantrel Six Sigma Program Manager. “This puts Bantrel at the forefront of Six Sigma within the EPC world.”
As part of the Master Black Belt program, applicants must complete a Super Process Improvement project (PIP).
Chris’ Super PIP is titled “Reduction of Errors on Engineering Deliverables” and will not only have a direct positive financial impact, but also help meet the tight schedules and demands of our clients.
Chris joined the Toronto office in 2003 as part of the Control Systems group. During his tenure, he spent his time as discipline lead and field engineer on the Petro-Canada Montreal Crude Reconfiguration project and also as project engineer at the Sunoco Philadelphia site.
Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Waterloo University and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University.
Congratulations Chris!
