Bantrel EDD and RCP Teams Win Petro-Canada President’s Safety Award

The Bantrel Edmonton Diesel Desulphurization Project (EDD) / Edmonton Refinery Conversion Project (RCP) were awarded with Petro-Canada’s prestigious President’s Award for Safety. Eleven project teams from across the globe competed for this award, which recognizes Petro-Canada operations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in safety. The Bantrel EDD and RCP projects were honoured for achieving more than 2.4 million hours without a recordable injury in 2006. The Petro-Canada Hanze Project in the Netherlands also received the achievement.

Bantrel corporate executives, as well as Diamond Kanani, Project Director and Ken Thomsen, Petro-Canada RCP Site Manager, pass on congratulations to the teams for the outstanding achievement. Bantrel staff, site trades people and project subcontractors earned this award thanks to their continuous safe practice awareness, commitment and behaviour. Our Chairman, President and CEO, Paul Lovell, noted that this level of attention to safety is a true reflection of Bantrel’s HSE culture and serves as an inspiration for all of Bantrel.

Congratulations teams!
