• Bantrel Engineers & Constructors is founded on November 1.
• Shareholders include Banister Pipelines, Trimac, Bechtel, The BAE Group and Scotia Energy
• Staff count at year-end totals five

1984

• Petro-Canada, Gulf Canada and Husky award Bantrel engineering contracts

1985

• Corporate name changes to Bantrel Group Engineers Ltd.
• A.R. Campbell appointed President
• Bechtel transfers oilsands portfolio to Bantrel

1987

• Paul Lovell appointed President
• Bantrel awarded Syncrude Expansion Study
