Sig RuudAs Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Sig is responsible for Bantrel’s legal affairs. Sig has more than 20 years experience as an engineer and construction lawyer and has handled the full range of contract and legal matters on many large-scale industrial projects in Canada.

Sig complements his extensive experience by serving on the boards of industry and professional organizations. He is a past director of the Calgary Construction Association, past Chair of the Construction Section of the Calgary Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, and presently serves on the Executive of the National Construction Section of the Canadian Bar Association. Sig is also Co-chair of Canada's National Construction Law Conference in April 2008. In addition, he is a member of the Law Societies of Alberta and British Columbia.

Sig holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and an LLB from McGill University. 

Sig was born and raised in Alberta and resides in Calgary with his wife Susan and daughters Avril and Erica.  He and his family enjoy the great outdoor recreation opportunities that the Calgary area has to offer.
