Darrell Donly
President of Bantrel Constructors
Darrell has more than 30 years experience in the EPC industry. He was appointed the founding president of Bantrel Constructors in 2003. Under Darrell's leadership, BCC has earned industry respect for its rapid growth and high levels of safety, quality and service. Today, BCC employs more than 1500 tradespeople on some of the largest industrial projects in Canada.
Prior to BCC, Darrell filled a number of senior management roles at Bechtel. Darrell joined Bechtel in 1975 after graduating with double bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and business administration from University of Colorado at Boulder. His talents were quickly recognized. In 1976, he was sent to Canada and Indonesia as a cost and scheduling engineer, and to South Africa as a civil field engineer. He later worked with Bechtel’s Becon Construction Company on power and petroleum projects in the United States.
Darrell was named president of Becon in 1993. In 1995, he was selected to head Bechtel's Houston office. He was appointed a senior vice president of Bechtel in 1996. In 1998, Darrell was named president of Bechtel North America, where he was responsible for more than 5,000 employees and projects in the petroleum and chemical, fossil power, nuclear power, telecommunications, mining and metals, industrial, and off-shore industries.
Darrell resides in Calgary, Alberta with his wife Marian. They have two children, Corinne and Morgan.
