Activate your Operating System's default screen reader
Windows XP/2000 Narrator
To activate Windows Narrator, navigate to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > Narrator.
Narrator has several options that you can tailor to meet your specific needs.
Mac OS X VoiceOver
Open the System Preferences from the dock (or Apple menu > System Preferences). Double-click on the Universal Access icon located in the System category.
Turn on VoiceOver in the Universal Access preferences. You can set up preferences by clicking in the "Open VoiceOver Utility" button.
